Scottsdale Center for Performing Arts

The City’s premiere performance venue, the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts (SCPA), was thoroughly renovated to be Scottsdale’s community living room. Phased construction allowed the SCPA to remain operational throughout: from the small theater and Atrium to the offices for the SCPA and the City of Scottsdale IS/IT headquarters.

Phase I included complete restructuring of the Atrium, total mechanical systems replacement, complete lighting systems upgrade and construction of a new classroom studio. Our team updated the lobby with a translucent box office, mezzanine and a cast glass light wall framing the theater entrances.

Our team remodeled the theater space in phase II to include state-of-the-art lighting, acoustics, AV, rigging, stage floor, gallery seating on two sides and a monument glass elevator. We used BIM to model the elevator in 3D so all could see view how the elevator would look from any point on the virtual staircase.
